About me
I am a passionate UX designer and developer with a background in business, marketing and software engineering dedicated to creating intuitive and engaging user experiences. My journey has taken me from hands-on projects in university to professional roles where I continue to explore and enhance the intersection of technology and user-centered design.
How I got started in UX
My journey into UX design started during a group project in my undergraduate studies, where I discovered how much I loved thinking through and emphatising with the experience of a user seeing a product for the first time. I took on the task of designing the interface, started experimenting with Figma, and I loved it—so much so that I began playing around with it in my free time. After graduating with Honours and Distinction, I was pleasantly surprised to receive Beta Gamma Sigma membership for being in the top 10% of my cohort. My thesis focused on researching VR environment design and earned the maximum grade - an A*.
My holistic approach
With a background in business and marketing, I've gained valuable insights into understanding user and business needs. I also have hands-on experience as well as formal education as a software developer, which helps me collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
What I've been working on
I have worked on several UX projects, including creating a web interface for an automated live-tweeting application, investigating how environment design affects communication in virtual reality, designing the interface for an online store that sells professional cosmetics and hair products, which is currently in use, and developing the interface for an internal project and financial management system for an Imaging Facility.
